The fullest instruction, and the fullest enjoyment are never derived from books,
till we have ventilated the ideas thus obtained, in free and easy chat with others.

MyShelf is a book-related web site aimed at readers and writers. Updates are the first of each month. We have Contests, Reviews, Columns, Holiday Reading and Deaf Characters lists. Some reviews are also posted on our sister site CrimeThruTime (more below). MyShelf was created in Nov. of 1998 by owner Brenda Weeaks.

CrimeThruTime is an Historical Mystery website affiliated with a discussion list at Yahoo (850 members). Both were created in 1999 by the owner Brenda. Yahoo group monthly Book Moderators are Debbie Lyons and KG Whitehurst.

All work at MyShelf and CTT is voluntary. Money collected from the site affiliates pay for both sites. With the help of those associated with MyShelf and CTT both businesses have become a great success.

Each month the MyShelf staff treks across the Internet and into thousands of homes and businesses by way of up to 500 multi-genre, reviewer, writer, publisher, library, and book discussion lists, as well as our own monthly newsletter (1545 members)

MyShelf and CrimeThruTime are legal businesses protected under US copyright laws.

Contact

Publishers / Publicists - We've had a problem w/ people requesting books on behalf of MyShelf without permission. Please be aware Brenda Weeaks, the owner, and Laura Hinds (Asst) are the only ones allowed to requests books. Please be aware our business address is based in Oklahoma. Email her w/ your questions or for further info.

Interviews & Columns: Requests for interviews are appreciated, but they aren't always accepted because some columns are booked months in advance. Please don't be offended if you contact a columnist only to be turned down.

Submitting someone else's review: All reviews on the site are copyrighted by MyShelf.Com. Accepting reviews from freelance and other sources would confuse the issue.

Thank you:

  1. Reviewers for accepting books and providing so many reviews.
  2. Columnists for presenting a multitude of imaginative columns.
  3. Editors for double checking and correcting that which we overlook.
  4. The authors, publicists, and publishers for believing in us.
  5. Most of all: My family for allowing me to grow in a different direction, for joining in on occasion, and supporting me all the way.
