Author
of the Month If you have never read a Beverly Barton novel then now is the time. I can remember when I first received one of her books from a friend it did not take me long before I had to find them all. The Protector series is one of the best series of books you can find, in my opinion. However, I also love her mainstream romantic suspense, and have to grab one as soon as it is released as they will certainly keep your eyes open and in your seat from the cover to the ending. I have met Ms. Barton twice as I attended the RWA luncheon in Huntsville Alabama for the past 2 years, and she is just as nice as you would think she is from reading her website. Ms. Barton was born in Alabama, with her upbringing divided from Alabama to Tennessee. She graduated high school in Chattanooga but attend college at the University of North Alabama, marrying young she traveled extensively with her husband until they settled back in Alabama where she gave birth to their two children who are now grown and in college. Beverly Barton sold her first book in 1989, and Silhouette Desire released it in 1990, Yankee Lover was set in Ms. Barton’s hometown of Tuscumbia Alabama. Many of her books are set in Alabama, as with Close Enough to Kill her latest main stream romantic suspense release that is set in North Alabama, it is an extremely wonderful story. I am now waiting on the next in The Protectors series, Dangerous Deception, that I know is sure to be another I will have to read repeatedly, as I can never seem to get enough of Ms. Barton’s books.
