Thirteen-year-old Gordo
Gate’s father is suffering from an odd illness
that not even the most brilliant physicians can cure.
Gordo researches his father’s symptoms on the
Internet. There he is led to a secret lycan network
where he discovers that werewolves are carriers of a
disease like his father’s and that there is a
connection, somehow, to a Greek girl, named Allie Zabel,
a hidden silver source, and a key.
Feeling that he is the
only one who can help his father, Gordo travels to Greece.
With the help of a gangly, bankrupt pilot, he is able
to find Allie. At first the girl is afraid. But as she
listens to Gordo’s account, she begins to recognize
her ties to the lycans.
Reaching the lycans’ secret homeland, the group
meets a lonely child who appears to be some sort of
abnormal lycan/human mix. The foursome join together
hoping to find a way to make all of their dreams come
true.
The Lycan Journal review
from Dan Plutchak, The Week:
“The book should be a hit with those who like
a scary mystery.”
