This is a great book that looks at how a woman who was sexually assaulted overcomes her attack through dance. It is written in a journal-like format, which adds to helping the reader understand how Ms. Sonnenfeld was able to slowly get over the assault and her frustrations with the process. Ms. Sonnenfeld decides that she needs to find some way to talk about what happened to her and discovers that her way to talk would be through dancing.

The first person, journal form emphasizes how devastating a sexual assault can be and gives the book a personal feel. It shows the decisions that Ms. Sonnenfeld felt she had to make in order for her voice to be heard. The decision to fall back on something that Ms. Sonnenfeld did in the past-dance--in order to cope with the present and be able to talk about in the future is a positive one.
