Amelia Peabody's Egypt
A Compendium
Edited by Elizabeth Peters and Kristen Whitbread

Egyptology is one of the most fascinating fields of study one can go into. In this book, Elizabeth Peters shows what many fascinating journals, reports, and historical accounts she has pored over in research for her Amelia Peabody series. It holds a history of how the Egypt of ancient times has been, in a sense, brought back, and the "who, what, where, when, and why" of it all. There is an excerpt from the unpublished journal of Professor Radcliffe Emerson from 1885. There are also amazing photographs of places such as the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.

I have recently become a fan of Elizabeth Peters and have been a huge fan of Ancient Egypt for as long as I can remember. The pictures are absolutely incredible. You can literally feel the history running through you with each turn of the page. I definitely recommend this book.
