The Cracked Pot
Finding Grace in the Cracks of Childhood Abuse

by Jim Cyr

We are all cracked pots with varying degrees of space between the clay.  Jim Cyr is now glued back to together, but he can never forget the defining moments that broke him.

This book is a selfless act to tell others who may be suffering in silence that they, too, can be healed and be whole.  Jim Cyr was the victim of a mother, father, and uncle who used him in sick games as a pawn for their own self-satisfaction.  His mother robbed him of his innocence at the early age of five.  His uncle used Cyr as a whipping post for his own satanic fun.  Moreover, the father who should have protected Cyr from this unspeakable abuse joined the others to molest him.

Cyr endured this unspeakable lifestyle by retreating into himself and becoming many people.  He developed Disassociative Disorder, the only way he could cope.  You see, Jim not only had to deal with abuse, but he was born with genital birth defects that handicapped him against his abusers.  He underwent numerous surgeries to correct a humiliating defect that caused him unbearable pain and suffering.

Jim is now a crisis intervention specialist for Children’s Mobile Response and Stabilization Services.  He is healing others through his experiences and healing himself as well.  Read this inspiring and heartwarming book about Jim and his rise from the ashes.  Learn how debilitating a life filled with abuse can be and the effects that go unnoticed and diagnosed.  It really makes you think.
