Permission Slips
Every Woman's Guide To Giving Herself A Break

by Sherri Shepherd
with Laurie Kilmartin
read by Sherri Shepherd

OKAY, if you love The View you're gonna love this audio book. Sherri Shepherd shows you who she really is in Permission Slips; with that, along with her new sitcom and The View, I'd say she is really stepping out there!

I was curious to read this book to find out who the real Sherri Shepherd was and now that I know, guess what? I am pleasantly surprised. Comedienne Shepherd reads her own story with empathy and wit. It's light, it's funny, and it's enlightening. Sherri's take on life and men is refreshing. I thought, "What else can be said about relationships", but I was wrong... a lot wrong.

Sherri shares her own life's stories, which answer questions you may have had from statements she's made on The View, but of course, this book has nothing to do with the show. This is her very own take on life's circumstances.

Sherri talks about her beginnings and her struggles as she climbed to recognition. She talks about topics such as dating, parenthood, her career, and the serious topic of her diabetes and how it gave her permission to be healthy. She uses her own mistakes to give readers permission to make their own mistakes and not regret those imperfections we all have and fear will be the end of us. She is proof that you will survive!

You'll like this one. It's fun.
