Mike Scotti's
book The Blue Cascade has written a book that tells it like
it is for the fighting men and women in the Iraqi War.
Scotti beings
his story after he leaves the Marine Corps, but that doesn't mean
we don't see plenty of brutal war scenes. The author deftly inserts
flashbacks as he tries to settle back into life as a civilian. When
the author secures a high-paying job with one of the leading banks
in the United States, he sees the hypocrisy that is present and
180 degree from the trust and brotherhood he experienced in the
Marine Corps.

Anyone who
has been to a war zone or had family members who have gone needs
to read (or listen) to this book. It will give a better understanding
of why some of our veterans are the way they are.
I suggest the
audio version simply because the author reads his own material and
the emotions come through loud and clear.
