In one persona
Air Force Colonel Russell Williams is the commander of the largest
Canadian Air Force base in the country, personal pilot for members
of the Royal family, dignitaries and prime ministers. He was trusted
and highly respected. The other persona: a rapist and murderer,
becoming the most notorious criminal in recent Canadian history.
He stalked, imprisoned, humiliated, raped and murdered countless
young women. The police were unable to solve any of his crimes until
a private citizen·s involvement with the victims enabled
them to finally put the facts together.
Gibbs has done
a masterful job of presenting this story. He gives a blow-by-blow
account of the humiliation and torturing and killing of the women
with other descriptions of the video tapes which Williams recorded
of his actions, which are disturbingly graphic. He gives exacting
details of interviews with family, friends and workers all in the
attempt to explain the mystery of this bizarre serial killer. It
is a disturbing narrative. |
