This book is a cross between a memoir and a parenting book; it was originally released in 2010 but it is now being released as an audio-book. I love how Ms. Ellison was willing to write about her and her son “Buzz,” and the struggle of trying to figure out how to deal with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). She was honest about her struggles both in trying to help her son get a “handle” on his diagnosis and having to learn how to cope with and find a balance in her own diagnosis of ADHD.

While listening to this audio-book I couldn't help but feel that although she had written this book to let others know about the struggles and hassle of trying to find a balance for both of them that this was probably written as a therapeutic aid for her as well. I loved listening to this book and found that there were certain moments where I laughed and other moments where I felt frustration and sadness along with Ms. Ellison at what she was going through. I have ADHD as well and have only been officially diagnosed for 1-2 years now and while listening to everything the author and her son had tried as an alternative to medicine as well as trying different medications I could relate to as well as to their feelings about what all they were going through.

I found this to be a wonderful memoir and a wonderful informative book on ADHD as well. I enjoyed listening to Ms. Ellison narrate the book; I felt she had a wonderful and comforting tone and that she had quite a bit of emotion in her voice. I love the fact that she gave her son the name “Buzz” that way it would protect his privacy during the writing of this book. Out of a score of 10 I give Buzz and Katherine Ellison an “8.”
