I just love Chelsea Handler no matter what she does. I remember watching her late night show long before it was popular to do so. Or actually, I’m not sure if she’s ever really been popular. She has always been slightly or moreover widely acknowledged as off the wall. Chelsea is the only person who could have possibly narrated this book and produced a great audio. There is something in her voice that just simply engages you immediately.

This one begins as hard and fast as everything she does in life. If you are not afraid of “in your face” language and descriptions, you will love this audio book. It’s real.

This book begins with Chelsea planning a trip to Africa for a four-day weekend with her friends and sister. For the rest of the story, it is a compilation of the trip and the idiosyncrasies of all of her friends and others. It is an endless description of her narcissistic behavior and ridiculously vain and empty life’s travelogue. Her detailed descriptions of rather personal physical functions is a little over the top. It is a journey of drinking, pills, and bad behavior. Maybe even a little childish. It is a real adventure, with a bunch of crazy laughing hyena women.

Although this may sound like a negative review, it is really not. I actually enjoyed it. You have to be a Chelsea Handler fan to get it.
