FOR LIFE And you thought all she could do was cook! Julia Child's journey through life is anything but dull. Julia seems to take after her grandfather who at 17 followed the Gold Rush to California. She is raised in a wealthy, free spirited family. After school instead of making the choices expected of a young woman in her time, Julia makes her own choices that lead her on a path to the man of her dreams and a career that will make her a household name. Her marriage is unusual for their time, because it is equal in all respects. Yet life is not without it's bumps, although Julia was independent, and a free thinker, she made some choices that showed she was still a woman of her time. There is a section of pictures that add greatly to the charm of the book and Julia. I think you will be enjoy this read, I did. |
