I thoroughly enjoyed reading this intriguing work. It is a very well researched guide to the Royals. Chapter by chapter Martinez takes on the bloodline, circumcision, pudding, and scandal. It really gives the reader a behind the “royal wave” look at the secret lives of the most controversial courts in history.

You will read about Fat Mary and why it took so long for her to find a husband. There is a chapter on the history of the familial connection from which all royals spur. What Martinez does in her book is to take them off the pedestal and put them on the ground for all to examine. The reader soon comes to know them as real people with all their human frailties and complexities.

I recommend this Kindle to anyone who enjoys reading about the Royal family. This is not a tell-all. This is a historic look at the family through the years - - bringing them up to relevant times. It is a fun peek through the looking glass.
