Encyclopedia of Cardmaking Techniques

by Various Authors

Here is the third compendium of Search Press’ highly popular Cardmaking Techniques books. Learn how to make cards using punches, eyelets, beads, peel-offs, glass paint, polymer clay and more!

Eighteen techniques in all are covered, and you can learn how to make cards, using not only obvious materials such as rubber stamps and glitter, but also how to master the Fiskars parchment craft embossing system or use polymer clay. This latter has to be my favorite, and if you enjoyed messing around with plasticine as a child, this will have a lot of appeal. You have some excellent teachers for these techniques. Big names from the papercraft world such as Janet Wilson, Polly Pinder and Judy Balchin take you through the basics and beyond. There are some lovely cards to make in here, all explained with the usual photographs and easy stages, as well as some gallery pieces and further inspiration. This sort of book would make a great present for the papercrafter in your life - if you can bear to part with it!
