Needlework Antique Flowers
With Over 25 Charted Designs
by Elizabeth Bradley
I hope you have a large coffee table for this big, beautiful book; you will certainly spend many a happy hour leafing
through it as you sip your Java! Large, lush and lovely, you will spend even more happy hours stitching the items
charted and admiring them.
Divided into four seasons, this book contains charts for a good number of needlepoint projects requiring those
old favorites woolen yarn and canvas. Each project features a large, full color chart, key for threads, luscious
photograph of the finished work and quite a bit of information about the subject. You can read all about the
various flowers and some of the creatures shown, as well as quotations from poetry, hints for gardeners and more
photos of a beautiful home where the items are displayed. The four samplers are shown ringed with flowers of the
season, which looks just wonderful. You don’t need much embroidery know-how either to complete these projects,
which are surely just the thing to relax with during long winter evenings. One of those books which is likely to
remain a firm favorite — just beautiful and easy to use too.
