Teabag Folding 2
22 Perforated Papers (The Crafter's Paper Library)
by Various
If you are a papercrafter you would have to have been hiding under a stone not to know what teabag folding is by
now! Also known as kaleidoscope origami, it is the simple and beautiful art of folding squares of decorated paper
and arranging them in medallions or other shapes to make attractive embellishments for cards. Thanks to Crafthouse
Press and Search Press, you can now also embellish your memory album with them, as the papers in this useful book
are all acid and lignin free.
This is the second of this successful partnership’s books on the subject, and there really are papers for all
occasions. Each square features four themed items, one at each corner, so whichever way you choose to use it a
different pattern will appear - the best sort of paper for this craft. The themes include gardening, sports,
fashion, teenage, wedding, nautical, teatime and more, encompassing hobbies and occasions rather wider than just
birthday or Christmas. There are none of the latter actually, but that is surely a subject for a book in itself!
Turn to the back and find twelve different ways of making medallion-shaped embellishments (well, eleven and a
butterfly) shown using the papers, and shown life-size and in color. The diagrams are simple but easy to follow
and would be a good introduction to the hobby. Great fun, highly addictive, and beautifully produced.
Search Press have also brought out Iris Folding 2 this month, so look out for that at Amazon.com
