Give tired old garments, accessories and more a new lease of life with the addition of cross-stitch and Liberty fabric accents. Or craft your own from scratch using the patterns in this versatile and inspiring book.

Originally published in France in 2010, this book gives a contemporary touch of Paris chic to cross-stitch. Choose from projects in three sections for personal items, home decorating and making things for baby. Craft a Liberty bag with a cross stitched border top or bow, make a hair band or earrings, photo frames, tea pouch, bootees or rattle. Each project comes with a page-sized photo of the finished item, plus staged instructions (words only in most cases), a list of everything you need as well as tips. Turn to the back to find all the patterns ready to trace ,or scan and print, plus the cross-stitch charts, which are given in color. There is even a little black dress (no pattern for this, provide your own) to make fancy straps for your own bit of je ne sais quoi. Cross-stitch has been around for some time as a hobby since its revival over two decades ago, and this gives it a welcome new look for the 2010s.
