Unicorns
have never been so popular and appear on everything. Learn
how to draw your own with this latest entry in the How To
Draw series. There are twenty-six different ones to tackle
in here, each one consisting of seven steps. The first five
show how to build up the picture from simple shapes, adding
new details in each stage (shown in red). Finally, when you
have inked in the outlines, you can try some tonal shading,
or produce a colored image. How easy you find the last two
steps will depend on your prior experience. Building up the
basic drawing is easy, but in order to complete the last two,
you will need some previous art knowledge such as how to shade
and use your chosen color medium with proficiency. I would
recommend this book to improver artists who have mastered
the basics but want to depict unicorns. Draw them with wings,
fishy tails, zebra stripes, calves, and even a top hat. Once
you have mastered the basic outline you can make them fly,
rear up, swim and leap. As with all the titles in this series,
commercial use is prohibited, but you can put your artwork
on anything for personal or charity use.
