Closer Than Your Skin
Unwrapping the Mystery of Intimacy with God

by Susan D. Hill

If after years of earnest Bible study you still long for something beyond an intellectual knowledge of faith Closer Than Your Skin is the recommended book to read. It will help you grow in your everyday relationship with God.

I enjoyed Closer Than Your Skin and found it to be a truly enlightening novel.

Here are just a few of the valuable lessons contained in this book:

God can and will intervene in my tangible world. My earthly life matters to Him.

Getting angry about things that don't matter is a symptom of deeper pain regarding things that really do matter. It's a cover-up! Anger is a common response to pain we don't know how to deal with.

Deep suffering takes away false pride and tears down the walls that keep us from God.

Develop a growing awareness that God has been there all along. When we stop, wait, notice, and listen, God does speak. Our ability to hear Him intensifies as we learn to recognize His voice in everyday circumstances.

As we grow in hearing God's voice, we must also grow in discernment. God is not some remote, untouchable entity. He's right here - closer than your skin.

He who has ears, let him hear. Hearing God is in the present tense, meaning right now. It's to be an ongoing experience in the Christian life.
