Let your scars become stars. -- Laura Osteen Comes

In "You Are Made for More!' Laura starts off with the inspirational story about the mail bomb meant for her father. Laura explains how she was the first to spot the package; the sounds she heard when she shook it, how she opened it and why she believes the bomb did less damage than intended. After hearing how much damage the bomb did to the office and how "deadly" it was meant to be, one can't help but believe Laura was protected and her faith saw her through the recovery.

I wasn't surprised, either, how quickly her family reacted, especially Joel and Victoria Osteen. How wonderful to have a family rush to your side, ready to pray heaven down on your behalf. It was inspiring to hear how Victoria helped Laura with her hair and appearance while she was in the hospital and how Joel breathed words of confidence and concern from their congregation. The Osteen Family wanted others to know Laura was physically and emotionally okay just after the bombing; they were ready to heal and move on.

It's an inspirational account and Laura takes this attitude throughout the audio. With each story Laura shares she also provides positive reinforcement and scripture. It's the kind of encouragement one needs daily.

Like her brothers, Laura Osteen Comes presents a gracious, gentle picture of God and God's Word. Her tone is one of encouragement and her narration more friend to friend than speaker to audience. If you need a reminder that God is your strength and your comforter then Laura's personal tales hardship and recovery will do you well.
