I've
read and listened to a lot of Joyce Meyer’s books. But
when I looked at this title God Is Not Mad at You
I thought: Nope, I'm good.
I say
this after a two-and-a-half year personal tribulation in which
God remind me of his grace and mercy, and how he provides
for us. Unfortunately I was also reminded of Man's need for
self-preservation at the expense of others; the enemy’s
joy at kicking someone when he/she is down, and Christians
hiding their light if one isn't the same denomination. During
this time, I listened to God’s voice, not man. I didn’t
give up and I came out knowing (without a doubt) God is my
source and he loves me - unconditionally.
Once
I started God Is Not Mad at You I was hooked. I’d
finish a chapter and think, okay, that one was for me after
all, then the next chapter and the next… . Joyce hit
so many points in my personal and work life – Performance
Mentality, Rejection, Approval, Religion, etc. Joyce gives
her own anecdotes, adds scripture then reminds us of God’s
grace and mercy. She reminds us that God is a good God. Not
a vengeful, disapproving God. Joyce lets us know “we’re
okay” and we can grow in God without the added stress
of a disappointing father giving us hard looks or rolling
his eyes.

is Highly Recommended.
