Pastor of Hillsong Church Brian Houston tells us to think
about God in everything we do: in today’s thought, today’s
prayer, and today’s scripture. I think it’s important
to know when selecting this book that you must be a follower
of the Bible. The author is quick to quote and uses scripture
to explain your relationship with God as it should be, but
if you are unfamiliar, it may be a little difficult to follow
and dogged.
The reader’s voice is lulling. I listened to it at work
and had a hard time staying focused. I found it to be too
repetitive in its message, so don’t bother to bookmark.
I am sure for religious followers of Brian Houston’s
daily devotional programs and scripture, this book will be
alluring. The message, “Put God first” is a message
we can all use, whether we are followers or not. I would suggest
trying it out and seeing if it speaks to you.
