Joyce
Meyer brings readers/listeners another inspirational devotional.
Jodi Carlisle’s narration is smooth and supportive.
Joyce Meyer has over one hundred books published and some
are devotionals; My Time With God is number fifteen. Joyce
believes we can never have too many devotionals, and she’s
right. Her devotionals are under various subjects, such as
love, power thoughts, walking with God, being thankful, being
a confident woman, etc. In Joyce's self help title, 20
Ways to Make Everyday Better, she recommends scattering
devotionals throughout the house, put them in your car, your
office, etc. Your walk with God will grow with that kind of
reinforcement in reach.
Meyer
wrote My Time With God over a period three years.
In the devotional, she occasionally mentions what she’s
going through – one devotional was written before a
mission to Africa and another was written after she returned.
Meyer’s devotionals come from the encouragement God
laid on her heart. Each devotional is a spiritual remedy,
so whether you’re feeling thankful, forsaken, or just
want to spend time with God pick up My Time with God and
renew your spirit. Each devotional includes a scripture, a
brief teaching, and a prayer. The book is just over 400 pages,
and I have to say it’s the heaviest devotional I have
on my shelf.
