Dr Crandall
brings readers and listeners some inspiring memorable moments
from his life as a husband, father, Christian, missionary
and cardiologist. Dr Crandall tells us his mother raised him
to know God. He went to church, but didn't engage in a personal
relationship with God. He eventually came to a point of seeking
God, not on the Internet like most, but with his time and
his skills. Crandall went on missions to other countries.
Helping the underprivileged is where he witnessed God's supernatural
work. He felt God's presence in their music and worship services,
which were simple and non-scripted. As a doctor, he relives
his time as a student taking care of cadavers, how God lead
him to pray for his patients, and the supernatural results
they received. He shares the happiness of being a father and
letting go of his terminally ill son. Dr Crandall lovingly
referred to his son's funeral as a "going home service."
Dr Crandall also reveals how God showed himself supernaturally
to the doctor, as well as others, giving them comfort, answering
their questions, and even warning them.
The personal
experiences Dr Crandall has when patients pass away will most
likely resonate with the majority and maybe even trigger memories.
When the doctor described the white mist at patients' deathbeds,
and how the room can be either peaceful or restless, my own
experience came rushing back as if it happened yesterday --
walking out of my dying brother's room, feeling crowded in
an empty corridor and hearing someone whisper my name. I found
comfort in knowing family members' who had already passed
were there to take him home. Hearing endless stories about
visiting angels, loved ones, etc, can give one peace but actually
experiencing it can fill one with purpose.
Dr Crandall
narrates the audio version. He shares these inspirational
stories with ease. Expect tears and tingling as you listen
to Touching Heaven. It's an amazing story for believers
and nonbelievers.
