Joyce Meyer’s latest book is about Trust. She defines the word trust and explains that having trust in God removes anxiety and gives us rest. Meyer tells us even Jesus didn’t put his trust in man because he had God. “But Jesus did not trust Himself to them, because He knew all. - John 2:24. Joyce explains Jesus “didn’t give Himself over to the idea that men would never disappoint Him.” I’m sure it saved Him a lot of hard feelings. Lack of trust can generally be due to disappointment in others and because we are raised to be self-reliant. Meyer also tells us many Christians say they trust God but continue to make choices without Him. By nature we make our own choices when we should be seeking God to make sure it’s the right decision. Her goal is to help Christians discover an unshakeable trust in God, a trust that won’t crumble just because something or someone has failed them. Meyer uses personal stories, anecdotes, and scripture to teach us how to get control of our Christian walk by trusting God completely. Unshakeable Trust is a book you can refer back to again and again.

And lastly, Meyer gives one caution above all others: “…make your own choice about whether or not that you will serve God and don’t let the World or anyone else make it for you.”
