The
Fire of Friendship
W.I.T.C.H.
series, No. 4
Adapted by Elizabeth
Lenhard
With
Taranee captured by the Elyon and the horrible Cedric, the girls
are in a tail-spin. They have to get Taranee back before anything
bad happens to her. Will is lost on what to do. The guilt and constant
mental bombardment of Taranee’s telepathic cries for help
are making it harder for Will to keep control of her friends long
enough to find a way back into Metamoor, to get her best friend
back. And as if things couldn’t get any worse, the entire
gang has to deal with humans butting in on their lives, too. Irma
has to deal with pimple-faced Martin and his incessant pleas for
a date. Hay-Lin is still finding it hard to go about her life without
her caring, warm grandmother there to cheer her up, Cornelia is
STILL finding ways to try to out-do Irma, who doesn’t help
by being a total smart-alek. And on top of it all…Will’s
mom is dating her HISTORY TEACHER. With the help of the heart of
Candracar and some strange characters, the girls set about to saving
their teammate. But are they already too late?
This
is the fourth book of the still ongoing series, and I have to say
it is the cutest of the four. With the constant clashing of titanic
egos of Irma and Cornelia, to the unexpected events following up
their plan on how to get Taranee back without making anyone suspect
anything, the story is filled with amazing adventure and hilarious
comedy relief. It, like the others in the series, has spoilers at
the beginning about the previous books, but if you’re anything
like me, you’ll have already read them anyway. It’s
an incredible series with the definite flavor of fantasy and innocent
teenage humor that will have you smiling the entire time your reading
until the muscles in your face start to cramp. I definitely recommend
this for anyone who is into fantasy cartoons or anime.
