by Holly Hobbie Is imitation really the best form of flattery? In Toot & Puddle, The One and Only, it really is. The beautiful illustrations are brightly colored. Holly Hobbie’s cute characters and story follow two pigs through a typical school year. Opal is being copied by Bubbles, the new pig in school. Everything Opal does, Bubble does too. But when Bubbles can’t get the dance routine in the chorus line, Opal steps up and helps her for the whole group. They are a big hit and the star of the show is Opal. I really love this book. It could become a quick favorite among young readers and children. The story has a good moral and the illustrations are enticing. Toot & Puddle, The One and Only will have a permanent place on our child’s bookcase. |
