Princess Natasha
#1 Cloning Around
by KOL (AOL Kids)
Creator: Larry Schwarz
A Cartoon Network character, Princess Natasha of the kingdom of Zoravia is an undercover
agent in America, protecting the world from the evil Lubek, ex-ruler of Zoravia. In her
disguise as a mild-mannered exchange student, Natasha has to fit her secret agent chores
into days filled with school and her tween social life. It's tough. In Cloning Around,
Natasha has to recover a machine in Lubek's possession that makes instant (if stupid)
clones. And she has to eliminate the clones Lubek has already made. And she has to make
a bazillion paper flowers for a school activity and babysit the very strange young son of
her host family. Managing all these tasks takes a bit of imagination stretch - but the
story is all silly fun and Cartoon Network antics. You have to really be willing to suspend
disbelief (and queasiness at the number of booger jokes) but for the tween reader, this
story is fast-paced fun. My six-year-old enjoyed the story very much and is looking forward
to the next book in the series. So for escapist fun - it's light and harmless fluff. |
