T, An Auto-Biography
by Feather Schwartz Foster
Now your children can ride through a slice of history in style with T, who is a Model T Ford just like
great-grandpa had. Feather Schwartz Foster has a great imagination and she really uses it in this story that will
keep the kids entranced. This story is a wonderful journey through American history that begins with the invention
of the Model-T Ford in the 1920s and takes us through the next forty years. T is funny and witty as he goes from a
shiny new car to a revered antique. He tells us about his life's travel and owners as he recounts all his adventures
and the exciting people he meets that are a part of our historical legacy. He provides transportation to a doctor
as he makes his house calls, is a delivery car, a race car, a family car and more.
This exciting adventure would make a great read-aloud at family time or bedtime, and will provide lots of
conversation topics for discussion. This is a book that kids will request over and over again. It's fast moving
and funny besides having some great historical information. It should be in your children's library. |
