Billy Bones
Tales from the Secrets Closet

by Christophew Lincoln

Billy Bones is a skeleton in a closet and he's not alone. He lives in the closet of the gloomy old High Manners Manor along with his mom and dad. His parents are the guardians of the secrets of the nefarious Biglum family.

Billy longs for the world beyond his closet and he's not the only one feeling trapped at High Manners Manor - for Sir Biglum's orphaned niece is equally trapped in the attic. When these two meet secrets are spilled, adventures are had, and all the evil schemes begin to unravel - in the most satisfying way.

This fast paced book is sure to grab young readers from the first page with its "Guide to the Afterlife" and hysterical look at ghostly political scheming. Both Millicent and Billy are properly precocious and spirited, making them a perfect team for dealing with the book's bad guys. I found Lincoln's whimsical pen and ink drawings an excellent, amusing accent to the story. Definitely an enjoyable romp.
