Kenny & the Dragon

by Tony DiTerlizzi

Kenny is a little rabbit with a major problem. His two best friends are about to engage in a very serious conflict. In one corner is Graeme, a cultured dragon who enjoys reading and abhors fighting. His adversary is George, a retired knight who has been spending most of his time in his bookshop puffing on his pipe as he reads a good book.

Unfortunately, the village folk have discovered there's a dragon loose in the countryside and demand George come out of retirement to deal with the fire-breathing monster. Since both Graeme and George have to "save face" and deal with a situation they'd much rather just ignore, Kenny has to devise a plan to extricate his two buddies from this potential lethal confrontation.

With a little showmanship and perhaps a touch of subterfuge, the clever rabbit may be able to save the day and still retain two very important friendships.

A co-creator of the Spiderwick Chronicles, Tony DiTerlizzi's legendary storytelling skills are already well known. Any youngster who enjoyed The Spiderwick Chronicles will love the author's amusing "take" on the legendary showdown between St. George and the dragon.
