Masterpiece

Marvin lives in a New York City apartment with his loving family. He loves to swim. He has a sister who sometimes
drives him crazy. A perfectly normal kid? Not exactly. Marvin is a beetle and the home he lives in is burrowed into
the walls of a human family's apartment. Marvin's life is pretty uneventful until a birthday present for the human
boy of the family launches him into an adventure that includes forging a Durer drawing and being bugnapped by an art
thief. This little beetle is anything but ordinary. I'm not a huge fan of bugs and I was ready not to care much for
Marvin (sorry, little guy), but his thirst for adventure and big heart quickly won me over. This is a fantasy
adventure that manages to be both exciting and touching—no small job for a little bug. It'll be a long time
before I look at beady-eyes bugs in quite the same way. |
