My Halloween Treats:
Lift-the-Flap & Scratch-and-Sniff
by Jan E. Gerver
Illustrated by Pattie Silver-Thompson
When my daughter was little, she never got tired of lift-the-flap books. No matter how many times she peeked, it was
always a surprise. The surprises under the flaps in My Halloween Treats are tasty scents to smell. Little
ones will sniff peppermint, chocolate, bubblegum and more — sure they don't smell exactly like the real
treats but they have an appealing scent and the flaps are so much fun. So is the progression of tiny animal
trick-or-treaters as they go from door to door collecting goodies. It's a nice introduction to Halloween for the
toddler set. The simple, colorful illustrations are printed on sturdy cardboard. The book even has a handy carry
handle for small hands to grip, making this a great Halloween on-the-go book. |
