Queen Vernita's Visitors

by Dawn Menge
Illustrated by Bobbi Switzer

Queen Vernita lived in a beautiful castle in Oceaneer.  While she was Queen of Oceaneer, she missed seeing her friends in the land of Quails.

She decides that with twelve months in the year, she could invite one of her friends each month to live with her in the castle.  For every day Queen Vernita planned fun-filled activities that she and her friend could enjoy and share.

At the end of the year Queen Vernita was pleased with how the year had turned out.  At the start of the new year she was looking forward to starting over, revisiting with each one of her friends in their designated month.

Teachers and parents will appreciate Dawn Menge’s unique way of teaching a child the months of the year and the days of the week.  The illustrations are expertly done and each one brings the story more alive.  This is a book that is both entertaining and educational.  Very highly recommended.
