The Rabbit and The Snowman

by Sally O. Lee

In the dead of winter a group of children decide to build a snowman in the forest. Once he is complete they go their merry way. Day after day the snowman waits for the children to return, but they never come, and he begins to wonder if he has done something wrong.

One day a rabbit passes by and stops to talk to the snowman. The two quickly become friends, and the rabbit visits him each day. Then one day the warm weather finally comes and the rabbit goes to visit the snowman. He is saddened to learn that his friend has melted away.

Spring has come and gone and is then followed by the hot summer. The rabbit still remembers his good friend the snowman. Fall quickly comes and goes and once again it’s winter time. The rabbit returns to where his friend had last been seen and is overjoyed to find him there waiting for him.

Sally O. Lee does an exceptional job in illustrating a story that warms your heart. Each scene is brought to life by this artistically talented hand and mighty pen. To each new book she adds her personal inner warmth that makes her books favorites with both parents and children. Very highly recommended.
