Roadwork
by Sally Sutton
Illustrated by Brian Lovlock
Come along on a journey that follows the construction of a new highway. There's a lot of work to be done, from
surveying the route the road will take to moving tons of dirt. Once the roadbed is finished crews will have to pour
a smooth surface and then paint the markings on the asphalt and erect signs and lights along the way.
Once they are finished the crews load up their equipment and the road is open for travelers.
Any preschooler who loves machines will find the rhyming text and bright boisterous illustrations of this picture
book fascinating. |
