Traveling Bear and the Drive-Through Safari - Volume 1
Traveling Bear and the Yellow Flipper Roller Coaster - Volume 2
Traveling Bear and the Search for Treasure - Volume 3

by Christian Hainsworth

Here are stories about exciting characters Traveling Bear, Chuga, and Mookie, in beautifully bound, hardbound books accompanied by a read-along CD to help build strong reading skills by offering challenging vocabulary words and reading comprehension questions following the stories. The full color artwork offers a visual banquet on every two page spread and adds meaning to the text.

In the first book the kids go on a safari adventure and Traveling Bear writes down all his questions about the trip to ask at the end of the tour. The tour director gives him a book to research his questions and find the answers, but did not answer the questions himself.

In book 2, the kids go to an amusement park where they learn that they must think ahead and make choices.

Book 3 finds the kids in a cave hunting for treasure in which they confront dangers, both real and imagined, in the form of bats and ghosts, and learn to achieve their goals.

These books are very short, and while they have exciting visual impact, and provide excellent subject matter for family discussions, they did not give the information that I expected and did not answer questions, but simply showed readers the way to do independent research.

There are 14 exciting story books that teach positive values and promote winning attitudes. Each book is accompanied by a read along audio CD to help build strong reading skills and the desire to read.

T-Bear, Chuga and Mookie are available as stuffed toys, along with a coloring book and an official backpack. Sure to be the latest "must have" items for your favorite kids.
