The Heroes of Googley Woogley

by Dalton James
Illustrated by the Author

Rock Star Pete and his dad, Rock Star James, were very rich. They decided to use their money to buy a spaceship and fly around the galaxy. They spared no expense, and even had their own store with free candy they could eat anytime they felt like it.

They journeyed into space with their fast spaceship.  As they were traveling, they encountered a satellite with a distress signal from the planet of Googley Woogley.  The message was from the SooDos, to help them rescue their ships from the SooDonts.

On Googley Woogley there are two types of inhabitants; one is known as the SooDos, who are peace loving and take care of the sick. They can be recognized by their blue skin and three eyes. The SooDonts are red in color and have four eyes. They are evil and make their living stealing.

When James and Pete arrive, they are unsure of how to use the weapons of the SooDos.  With the SooDonts closing in on them, will they be able to devise a plan that will save them all, or have they met their match?

Dalton James is one very talented seven-year-old. I was so impressed with the second of his books that I have had the privilege of reviewing. What makes this book so special is that not only did he write it, he did all the illustrations. In my nine years as a book reviewer, I can tell you that this book is one of the most appealing I have found in the children’s genre. I predict that we are going to be seeing more great books from this author in the coming years. It gives me a sense of great pride to know that he is also located in my home town. Very highly recommended.
