How Do You Wokka-Wokka?

by Elizabeth Bluemle
Illustrated by Randy Cecil

How Do You Wokka-Wokka? challenges young readers three years of age and older to get on their dancing shoes. Jazzy rhythms, silly rhymes and Randy Cecil's shimmering images will entice youngsters to join in to help read this be-boppin', shimmy-shakin' text aloud.

"Some days you wake up and you just gotta wokka. Say 'HEY!" to your neighbors up and down the blocka wammy-lammy-wotcha-hoo," says the young narrator of this picture book. "Do your funky wokka, get your dance on."

As more kids join in, you see some "wokka-wokka like flamingos in a flocka" and others: "wokka-wokka like a fish flop on a dock-a." By the last page, everyone in the neighborhood is a "rocka til they droppa."

With an invitation to join in the fun and wokka-wokka, your preschooler will find it hard to just sit still as you read this book to him or her.
