The Sneakiest Pirate

by Dalton James
Illustrated by Author

Peg Leg Chuck is a pirate with only one hand.  For his first robbery he planned to steal the King’s gold and sail to a far off land.  His plan turned into a success as he stole the King’s gold and fled the King's men.  He managed to row to shore and buried the gold, marking it with a unique letter that only he would know existed.

Unbeknownst to Peg Leg Chuck his actions were being observed by two other pirates, Pirate Pete and Scurvy James.  The duo outwitted Peg Leg by catching him off guard when his attention was focused on burying the treasure.  They went to his ship to rob it, then waited until he left his buried treasure and went to dig it up themselves.

With the hefty treasure greed set in on Pirate Pete and Scurvy James.  The two fought with swords until the bitter end.  Who will stand the victor when the swords are no longer drawn?

Seven year old Dalton James is a very talented author and illustrator.  I was so impressed with not only his story telling skills but his talent has an artist.  The Sneakiest Pirate is a tale of mystery, intrigue, and suspense.  It is one that will surely keep you guessing right up until the end.  Very highly recommended.
