Superhero School

by Aaron Reynolds
Illustrated by Andy Rash

Leonard can do some amazing things like hit baseballs into orbit and bend steel beams with his bare hands. The only things he really has trouble with are multiplication, division and fractions.

Unfortunately, when Leonard's parents decide to send him to Superhero School to hone his skills, the boy discovers that math is a very important core subject. In fact, his teacher would much rather discuss fractions than talk about how to stop a speeding train. What a bummer!

Then one day Mr. Tornado is kidnapped by ice zombies and Leonard's class springs into action. But to save their teacher, guess what? The kids will have to apply the math concepts they have been learning. Fortunately, they are able to divide and conquer, which makes Mr. Tornado one happy guy!

There are creative and novel ways of teaching important math concepts, but Aaron Reynolds goes to the head of the class with this clever picture book which teaches and entertains at the same time.
