Honk!
The Story of a Prima Swanerina

by Pamela Duncan Edwards
Illustrated by Henry Cole

Mimi is a swan who is in love with ballet, and more than anything she wants to attend the ballet at the Paris Opera House. When she ends up on stage as a ballerina, Mimi's antics soon attract a lot of attention and rocket her to fame and stardom as the first-ever swan prima ballerina.

This is a delightful story about a swan who follows her dream to dance. It also illustrates the idea that one can overcome almost any obstacle. In Mimi's case, her continued determined attempts to get in and see an opera (Swan Lake), even though she was told "No!" and "Go away!" worked out marvelously.
