Raindrops
A Shower of Colors
by Chieu Anh Urban
Illustrator Viviana Garofoli
Raindrops
is just one of those books… The kind that makes you smile
as soon as you pull it off the shelf. Raindrops is full
of energy -- and yes -- cuteness. Parents will appreciate it as
a learning tool and preschoolers will enjoy the imaginative storyline
and adorable characters.
In
Raindrops Urban shares a tale of characters, colors, raindrops
and rainbows while Garofoli’s vivid illustrations bring it
all to life. The characters (roosters, grasshoppers, a yak, a whale
and more) are large as life – bold and delightful. The large
raindrops interact in an unusual way, creating other colors. Young
readers will see how the colorful raindrops mix and create other
colors. Then out comes the sun and what a big surprise! This copy
is a boardbook which means it’s destined for years of enjoyment.
It’s a bit larger than most boardbooks which is great for
this grandma’s grownup hands. What a wonderful experience
to share with your toddler or preschooler. Highly recommended. |
