What makes
the weather behave the way it does? Why is there no good snow this
year? Global warming or El Nino usually get the blame...but it is
because the Blizzard Wizard has lost his snow spell and the children
are very unhappy. In this laugh-out-loud story, the Blizzard Wizard
tries and tries to create the perfect snowstorm so that the children
will be able to play in the snow.
Waving his
wand and shouting, "White and fluffy, fluffy and white, Rah-rah-rah-sis-boom-baaa,"
the fluffy white things that fall from the sky are not snowflakes!
He tries to fake his way through this dilemma. He tries his slippery
spell, but that doesn't produce snow either, then several other
attempts turn out all wrong. When the Blizzard Wizard finally does
discover his lost snow spell, and snow actually begins to fall,
the timing is off, and everyone gets a big surprise.
The cute illustrations
by John Aardema are captivating and add visual excitement to the
story. You will see something new each time you look at the pages.
Read this story out loud at bedtime or at family time and laugh
together at the Blizzard Wizard's antics.
