Far Flatterby! What a wonderful book by Karen Kingsbury to accomplish two important things for very young readers; open their minds to the idea of possibilities and stir their imaginations even more at a time when they are fully open to the thought that anything is possible.

Cody the caterpillar, living in the town of Better Than Brown finds his life drab, to say the least. And then, like kids, he wondered. As he did so, he is visited by creatures that are so well drawn by illustrator Jennifer A. Bell that they are sure to spark a light and imagination.

The young readers are subtly reminded that God can help us to handle our problems and thus help us grow so that we can, in our own way, get to the land of Flatterby. This is a must read (or read to) for kids in this age group (4-7).
