Energetic Grandma,
who owns the garbage removal company, adds snow plowing services
to her business, with her sons doing the driving to clear the town's
streets.
The day of church carol sing is coming up. . .it is the biggest
celebration in town each year, but this year there's a blizzard
warning. One by one, Grandma's sons find themselves unable to drive
the snowplow. (What? They are stuck in the snow?) Grandma is determined
that there will be a Christmas carol sing, so she takes her grandson
Billy along and heads off to plow the roads herself. Grandma helps
her neighbors clear their snow in the process, and the streets get
cleared just in time for Santa Claus to make an appearance.
Katie Clark has a great imagination and has given us an action-filled
story, highlighted by Amy Huntington's watercolors that show all
the action. Read this different kind of Christmas story to the kids
at bedtime, or let them browse it independently.
