When Pooh wakes up one morning to discover he is out of honey,
the resourceful bear consults his friend Rabbit, who was working
in his garden. Pooh sees all the bees sipping nectar from flowers,
and decides it is time to start his own garden with plenty of plants.
With the help of Piglet, Owl and Tigger, Pooh finds a perfect
spot for a secret garden where the bees can come, enjoy the flowers,
and eventually make a lot of delicious honey that Pooh can enjoy.
This flip-the-flap book contains numerous flaps (one on every
two page spread) that encourage the child to become actively involved
in the reading of this story. Hidden behind each flap is an illustration
with text that moves the story forward.
There's quite a bit of text in this picture book which makes it
not only a good read aloud bedtime book but it also moves toddlers
from simple board books with very limited reading material to real
story books with an extended narrative.
