Bookmouse is very particular about his words or, more precisely,
the words in his favorite books. Snapdragon loves to bedevil Bookmouse
by doing nasty things to these very same words. For example, the
flying reptile relishes swooping down and biting off the "k"
and part of the "b" of this very book title. Now, what
do you have? "This is my Poo". Oh dear, that's not very
nice is it?
Since Snapdragon thinks that's really funny, he has no intention
of stopping this raiding of Bookmouse's books. He intends to keep
gobbling down letters in this manner.
It is up to Bookmouse to devise a plan to make Snapdragon cease
and desist his word attacks. Enlisting his friends as well as the
ghosts of the Woollywolves in the Moonwood forest, Bookmouse finds
a way to teach the wayward Snapdragon a lesson he won't soon forget.
A clever story with a text that plays lightheartedly across the
illustrations and onomatopoeia makes this a delightful book to read
aloud. This will quickly become one of your child's favorite story
books and, no doubt, you'll find it a happy read too!
