George has had it with his younger brothers who pester him and follow him wherever he goes. Whenever they ask where he is going when he tries to get away from them, George always replies, 'Nowhere!'

Poor George wants some space. He needs some space. Hiding out in the bathroom just doesn't work! Then one day a new washing machine is delivered to their house and George commandeers the box. Perfect! George transforms the big container into a place where he can find a little peace and quiet. He has created "Nowhere!"

How cool. Nowhere is amazing. It is magnificent. It is stupendous. But, there is a downside, too. Nowhere does not have dragons or pirates to fight. In other words, there is no one else in nowhere and that's no fun. Fortunately, George knows where to find some little dragons and pirates to play with and that place isn't too far away. And when they ask where he has been, George just smiles and replies, 'Nowhere!'

Older children who have to deal with younger siblings will find it easy to relate to George's problem and his desire for some personal space. On the other hand, though, this picture book also points out that having in-house playmates can also be considered a positive situation, too.
