After such successful children's titles as "The Queen's Knickers", "Father Christmas Needs a Wee!" and "Cinderella's Bum", Nicholas Allan is at it again. This time the royal baby is in the spotlight in this funny story about nappies (diapers to Yanks!), nannies and the misadventures of an active toddler prince.

One never wants to be caught short while out and about, especially if one's nappy is a bit soiled, so there has to be a large and readily available supply of royal nappies on hand at all times. Of course, the baby's nanny must keep track of all the nappies and, naturally, be there if one needs to be changed.

The Royal Mint is charged with producing the nappies and you can imagine what happens the day the mint people accidentally get mixed up and the royal nappies closely resemble British currency! There are also special nappies produced for holidays like Easter and Christmas.

When mom and dad take the royal infant to visit great grandma, a very special nappy must be worn for the palace visit. There are also flag motif nappies if baby is present when foreign dignitaries come to call. Of course, the day the U.S. President comes calling disaster strikes. The unthinkable happens. The household runs out of nappies just when they are most needed and the result is rather embarrassing.

Children and adults will love this humorous look at royal nappies. Hopefully the Duke and Duchess have a copy of this picture book to share with little Prince George!
